it will continue to blow
softly and then sometimes forceful.

Perhaps if you listen closely you will hear my name
every time it whispers it through the trees and brush
ringing over the hills and mountains just the same
it comes in low and then turns strong at first, and then a hush.

Whispering winds carry my name
in everything it says
never twice quite the same
do you hear my name on it's breath
as it blows across your way.
